Our primary focus is providing the highest quality of academic programmes, where self-motivated students are taught in small groups by expert academics.

Yes, you may. Although many of our participants apply and are offered places at Oxbridge, the programme is not just designed for students who wish to apply to those universities. Instead, Cambridge Immerse is intended for any self-motivated student aged 16-18 who would like to explore a subject of their choice with the guidance of expert tutors. Many of our alumni go on to study at many other leading institutions in the UK, USA or in their home countries.
Participants choose one subject to explore during Cambridge Immerse, we believe that devoting one’s time solely to the study of one subject allows students the opportunity to have a greater insight into that subject and to truly explore the variety of topics that subject has to offer.

Before Cambridge Immerse
We are unable to book flights on your behalf but we are more than happy to provide advice regarding travel to the UK/Cambridge – simply contact us with any questions.
In addition, we arrange a shared airport transfer service from London Heathrow Airport to Cambridge at a cost of £45 each way. Dedicated staff members meet the participants at the airport terminal of their arrival (all you need to do is get yourself to the London airport!). We find that this service is particularly helpful for students who are travelling alone to the UK. Participants are able to book this service once they have secured their place on the programme.
All participants of Cambridge Immerse will be sent a detailed list of things that they might need to bring along with them. Since accommodation and meals (breakfast and dinner) are provided for, the list shall not be extensive.
If your country is a member of the EU or a European Economic Area, you will not require a visa.
We are an educational organisation accredited by the BAC, and so are able to sponsor students who need to apply for a Student Visitor Visa.
We issue invoices on a quarterly basis, and invoices are due within 30 days. We are, under certain circumstances, able to extend the payment deadline.
Participants should arrive at their allocated college between 2PM and 4PM on arrivals Sunday. We appreciate that our international participants may need to arrive earlier or later than the recommended time, and therefore staff will be available on the premises from 8AM on the day of arrival.
Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a member of the Cambridge Immerse team, who will register you at the entrance of the college. You will be provided with an identification card and lanyard which must be kept on you at all times, a welcome pack, keys to your accommodation, a map of the college, and an itinerary for the programme.
A number of activities and a tour of your college have been arranged on the day of arrival in order to help you familiarise yourself with your surroundings and to meet your fellow participants. Academic sessions begin the next day.
Arriving in Cambridge by train or coach?
There are direct connections to Cambridge railway station from both London Liverpool Street and London King’s Cross mainline stations. We advise taking a licensed taxi (available immediately outside the station) to the college. Alternatively, the walk takes approximately 30 minutes. National Express long distance coach services terminate at Parkside, on the Northern side of Parkers Piece. Sidney Sussex and Christ’s are 5 minutes walk from the terminal and St Catharine’s is only 10 minutes walk from the terminal.
Arriving in Cambridge by car?
Parking in central Cambridge is very limited, though parking spaces are available. If you are being dropped off in Cambridge by your parent(s) or guardian(s), we would advise using one of the city centre car parks as there is no parking available on the street immediately outside of any of the Cambridge Immerse Campus Colleges.
Arriving in the UK by plane?
If you are an international participant arriving to London Heathrow Airport, we offer a shared transfer service from London Heathrow which can be booked upon enrolment.
For participants arriving at other airports in the UK or arriving at London Heathrow after the final transfer, a private airport transfer can be arranged. Both shared and private transfers can be requested upon enrolment.
Alternatively, National Express coaches depart directly from the airport to Cambridge (http://www.nationalexpress.com/)

All excursions, activities, breakfast and dinner are included in the Cambridge Immerse programme and so spending is limited to lunch items that participants might wish to purchase in Cambridge. We therefore advise that £100 per week should be sufficient spending money.
Despite this packed schedule, there will be plenty of time to explore the beautiful city of Cambridge.
Each week day, you will be expected to attend 4 hours of academic sessions and 2 hours of academic workshops or lectures. Participants should use the Private Study Sessions to prepare for their academic sessions and workshops by reading around the appropriate topics.
Furthermore, activities and excursions have been organised throughout the programme. Participants will also enjoy weekend excursions further afield – to Cambridge’s arch ‘rival’, Oxford.
Despite this packed schedule, there will be plenty of time to explore the beautiful city of Cambridge.
Breakfast and dinner are included as part of the programme for participants of the course. During meal times participants can network with one another and to discuss the day’s proceedings.
Breakfast offers the choice of an English or Continental breakfast each morning, breakfast takes place in college where partcipants are joined by their mentors. Dinner is a sit down three-course meal in the evenings. The evening meal takes place in college or on special evenings participants will be treated to formal hall in a different Cambridge college.
At lunchtime, participants have the opportunity to sample one of Cambridge’s many delicious eateries.

If parents/guardians wish to take their children out of the college for any amount of time, permission must be given. More information will be available upon enrolment.
Students who have enrolled for a Cambridge Immerse programme will receive access to the Participant Information Area. This will contain information on what clothes to bring and a list of other packing suggestions.
July and August is British Summer Time meaning the weather can be warm. However, it can sometimes rain and even be cold, so it is important that some warm clothes and waterproof clothing are packed.
The college has several pay phones that may be used by Cambridge Immerse attendees. Furthermore, all rooms are equipped with high speed internet connections and the computer room will also be accessible. Free wifi is available throughout the college site.
All participants are required to provide the details of an emergency contact (a relative or friend), so that a member of staff may make contact should any urgent problems arise.
